The 527 Lux uses CZ's Mini-Mauser controlled-round-feed action with an external extractor, tailored to the rimmed .22 Hornet cartridge. Feeding and extraction are guided positively from magazine to chamber, and capacity is 5+1 with the included detachable box magazines.
The 24-inch cold hammer-forged sporter barrel is unthreaded and set up with traditional open sights: a hooded front and a barrel-mounted open rear. This configuration keeps the rifle trim and sight-ready out of the box.
