This Smith & Wesson Performance Center 629-6 Compensated Hunter is a tuned, stainless N-frame .44 Magnum built for control and precision. It features a 7.5 in. heavy barrel with factory compensation and porting, a fluted six-shot cylinder, and an adjustable sight system with high-visibility inserts. The top rib is drilled and tapped with a screw-retained cover plate, and the revolver wears checkered walnut target stocks with S&W medallions. It comes with the original Performance Center aluminum locking case and additional accessories.

The 629-6 Compensated Hunter is a Performance Center build on the large N-frame, chambered in .44 Magnum with a six-shot fluted cylinder. The barrel carries bold rollmarks, including "PERFORMANCE CENTER" and ".44 MAGNUM," underscoring its factory pedigree.
Its 7.5 in. heavy stainless barrel uses a full-length underlug and recessed crown for stability and protection. The factory compensated/ported muzzle uses twin lateral slots to help manage recoil and muzzle rise.
The sighting system combines an orange-insert ramped front sight with a fully adjustable rear sight that uses green fiber-optic inserts for visibility. The top rib is drilled and tapped and fitted with a screw-retained cover plate secured by four hex screws.
Construction is all stainless with a matte finish on the frame, cylinder, and barrel. The DA/SA action uses an exposed hammer with a checkered spur, and safety features include a hammer block and an internal keyed lock. The revolver is fitted with checkered walnut target stocks featuring S&W medallions, and the ejector rod wears a knurled tip under a full-length shroud.
