The receiver is steel with a high-polish blued finish and factory scroll engraving. The action is the Model 1100's noted soft-recoiling, gas-operated system. Ejection is from the right-side port with a bright bolt, and the gun is fitted with a knurled magazine cap.
The 25.5" barrel features a ventilated rib and a fixed Improved Cylinder choke, paired with a single front bead. The left side of the barrel shows the roll-marked patent numbers. The AL barrel code dates the barrel to March 1964; Model 1100 barrels are interchangeable.
The receiver's serial suffix V designates a standard 12-gauge, 2-3/4" receiver. Chambering is 2-3/4" with a 3-round capacity. This example was made in the United States.
The gloss-finished wood stock has impressed checkering and a black grip cap with a white diamond inlay. An aftermarket Pachmayr White Line ventilated recoil pad with white/black spacers is installed, producing a 15.0" length of pull.
