The G42 is part of Glock’s Slimline series in a micro footprint, chambered in .380 ACP with a 3.25-inch barrel and a 6+1 capacity. Its single-stack design keeps the profile slim while maintaining standard Glock controls and handling characteristics.
It uses Glock’s Safe Action system with a center safety blade, supported by a firing pin safety and drop safety. The pistol operates on a short-recoil, locked-breech system and features a dual recoil spring assembly.
Sights are the fixed Glock polymer set, pairing a white-dot front with a white-outline U-notch rear and a 4.92-inch sight radius. Rear cocking serrations aid slide manipulation, while the magazine release is the standard configuration.
