It is in excellent condition and offers the flexibility to also fire .38 Special. Safety upgrades of the New Model system support safe six-up carry.

The New Model Blackhawk is built on blued steel with a 6.5-inch barrel and a fluted six-shot cylinder. It uses a single-action-only mechanism, made in the United States, and is configured for dependable operation with rugged construction.
Adjustable iron sights include a ramp front blade and an adjustable square-notch rear for precise elevation and windage tuning. An external hammer with a wide, serrated spur provides positive purchase for controlled cocking.
Chambered in .357 Magnum, this revolver also accepts .38 Special for versatile use. The New Model system incorporates a transfer-bar safety and a loading-gate interlock, enabling safe six-up carry.
Controls and hardware include a bullseye-style ejector head for smooth case removal and a frame-mounted base-pin latch for secure retention. Black checkered synthetic grips with Ruger medallions round out the package with a secure, consistent hold.
