The Model 995TS uses a straightforward blowback, semi-automatic action with a manual safety and a last-round bolt hold-open. It is built by Hi-Point Firearms/Strassells Machine in Mansfield, Ohio, and is rated for +P ammunition.
The carbine is threaded at the muzzle and comes with a knurled thread protector installed. Sighting is handled by fully adjustable iron sights, combining a protected front post with a rear aperture/peep for clear sight alignment.
The chassis includes a black polymer skeletonized stock with an internal recoil buffer and a ribbed polymer handguard. A full-length Picatinny top rail and a 6 o'clock accessory rail provide ample mounting space.
