The P50 uses FN PS90/P90-pattern horizontal magazines, providing 50+1 capacity in 5.7x28mm. Loading and maintenance are streamlined by a top-hinged clamshell upper, and the design directs ejection upward/right-side.
Its 9.6 in barrel is free-floating and factory threaded 1/2x28 TPI with a protector installed. A 1:7 twist supports the 5.7x28mm cartridge, and integral adjustable open sights are included: a front post with elevation adjustment and a rear notch with windage adjustment.
The operating system is straight blowback with a single-action, hammer-fired trigger set at approximately 5.0 lb. Dual recoil springs on twin guide rods help manage the action. The pistol pairs an aluminum receiver and steel internals with a glass-reinforced nylon lower, finished in black.
An integral full-length top Picatinny rail and a forward accessory rail are built in, along with a ventilated aluminum receiver shroud/handguard. Overall dimensions are 15.0 in (L) x 2.0 in (W) x 6.7 in (H), and unloaded weight is about 3.2 lb. Controls include an ambidextrous manual safety. Made in the USA, in Cocoa, Florida.
