The CZ 527 Carbine uses a mini-Mauser controlled-round-feed action with an external claw extractor, feeding from a detachable box magazine. Chambered in 7.62x39, it offers a 5+1 capacity in a compact, full-size configuration. The action includes a two-position safety.
