The Eagle 5.0 pairs a steel upper frame with a detachable 2011 polymer grip, delivering the modular 1911-based 2011 design. The black polymer grip has aggressive stipple texturing, and the frame is finished in matte black with an enlarged magazine well for fast, consistent reloads.
Its 5-inch bushingless, ramped bull barrel is DP CUSTOM-marked. This configuration supports the Eagle’s competition-oriented role in IPSC/USPSA Limited/Standard divisions and is chambered in .40 S&W with a 20+1 capacity.
The slide uses a tri-top profile with a flat top, a lowered and flared ejection port, and front and rear scalloped grasping grooves. The matte black finish on both slide and frame presents a uniform, purpose-built look.
Sighting is handled by a Dawson adjustable rear target sight and a fiber-optic front sight set in a dovetail, giving the pistol a clear, target-focused sight picture suited to precise adjustments.
Controls include single-action operation with an ambidextrous thumb safety and a grip safety, plus a skeletonized trigger and skeletonized hammer.
