Built on the AR-15 platform, this semi-automatic direct-impingement PDW is chambered in .300 AAC Blackout (7.62x35mm). The 7 in cold hammer forged barrel uses a 1:7 twist and a 5/8x24 TPI thread pattern, with a forward-blast linear compensator installed. The gas system is pistol-length, tailored for the short barrel configuration.
The compact PDW configuration uses a Maxim Defense CQB pistol brace with a two-rod adjustable assembly and a Velcro strap. Overall length measures approximately 20.75 in collapsed to 24.75 in extended, and the pistol weighs about 5 lb 11 oz, keeping it maneuverable while maintaining solid build quality.
The free-float Daniel Defense MFR XL 6.0 M-LOK handguard is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum. A full-length, T-marked top rail with T1–T25 positions visible runs the length of the receiver and handguard for continuous mounting. This pistol ships without sights installed.
The receivers are constructed from 7075-T6 aluminum and the upper carries distinctive "DDM4.PDW" gold inlay with a "300" caliber badge. A textured polymer pistol grip with a geometric pattern and a manual safety are fitted. Capacity is listed at 32+1, and one 32-round polymer magazine is included.
