The Gen 2 Python frame and lockwork were revised and strengthened, giving this stainless 3-inch model the robust feel and smooth operation that buyers expect from Colt’s modern Python series. The semi-bright stainless finish is consistent across the frame and fluted cylinder, presenting a cohesive look.
The 3-inch stainless barrel carries the Python’s signature ventilated rib and full underlug. This configuration maintains the classic profile while offering quick handling. The barrel uses a 1:14 left-hand twist to stabilize common .357 Magnum loads.
Sighting is straightforward and adaptable with adjustable iron sights: an interchangeable red/orange-ramp front blade and a fully adjustable rear.
