Remington Nylon 66 AB Apache Black .22 LR Semi-Auto, Chrome-Plated, 19.5 in Barrel, 14+1, 1967, with 2.5x32 Scope
This 1967 Remington Nylon 66 AB Apache Black is a lightweight .22 LR semi-auto featuring DuPont Zytel-101 structural nylon construction with a chrome-plated barrel and receiver cover. It retains the model's distinctive buttstock tubular magazine with 14+1 capacity and right-side ejection. A mounted 2.5x32 rimfire scope with tip-off rings is included, and as a pre-1968 rifle it is serial-number exempt.
The AB Apache Black variant pairs a black Zytel-101 nylon stock/receiver unit with chrome-plated metalwork. The stock includes molded checkering, a white-diamond inlay, and white-line spacers, with a 13.5 in length of pull. Ejection is via a right-side port.
The rifle uses a 19.5 in steel barrel with a chrome-plated finish and a stamped steel, chrome-plated receiver cover. It is equipped with iron sights that include a ramped front sight. The grooved receiver cover accepts tip-off rings.
Operation is blowback. Ammunition feeds from a buttstock tubular magazine that loads through the buttplate for a 14+1 capacity. The platform is known for its very light weight, at approximately 4.5 lb.
An included 2.5x32 rimfire scope is nitrogen filled with fully coated lenses and is mounted using tip-off rings on the grooved receiver cover.
