The 84F Cheetah uses a straight-blowback, fixed-barrel operating system that contributes to its compact form and consistent function. Its steel slide features the Beretta open-top design, and the 3.8 in steel barrel is secured in place. The pistol is finished in a uniform nickel/silver-tone across slide and alloy frame.
Controls are DA/SA with an ambidextrous, slide-mounted safety/decocker and a firing pin block. A push-button magazine release and an exposed, serrated spur hammer support familiar handling. The squared trigger guard with front serrations adds a purposeful front profile.
