The FNX-45 Tactical is built around a stainless-steel slide and barrel paired with a black polymer frame, balancing durability with practical weight. The slide is factory cut for optics and ships with mounting plates, while suppressor-height night sights provide a clear sight picture. Front and rear serrations aid manipulation, and the slide is marked FN Columbia, SC USA.
The extended, threaded barrel uses the common .578x28 pattern and includes a knurled thread protector. Its 1:16 RH twist rate is optimized for .45 ACP, and the bore condition is excellent. The DA/SA trigger system is paired with a manual safety and decocker, and the external skeletonized hammer offers positive control.
Ergonomics are configurable through the included set of four interchangeable backstraps. Fully ambidextrous controls—safety/decocker, slide stop, and magazine release—support left- or right-handed use without modification. A MIL-STD-1913/Picatinny rail on the dustcover provides straightforward accessory mounting.
Capacity is 15+1 with double-stack magazines, and this pistol includes two steel magazines. The package is rounded out with the FN soft case, owner’s manual, tools, optics cover plate (installed), and two mounting plates for easy setup.
