The 28-inch full-octagon barrel is blued with a polished top flat and is marked "THOMPSON | CENTER ARMS ROCHESTER, NEW HAMPSHIRE CAL 50." It features an under-rib with two ramrod pipes and is secured to the stock by a single transverse wedge key, consistent with traditional Hawken construction.
The sighting setup is straightforward and effective, with a bladed front sight in a dovetail and an adjustable buckhorn rear sight in a dovetail. This arrangement suits the rifle’s traditional handling and provides practical elevation adjustment.
The action is a percussion caplock with an external hammer and a hooked breech, allowing the barrel to be removed from the tang for maintenance. The double-set adjustable triggers provide a crisp, tunable release typical of Thompson/Center Hawken rifles.
The walnut half-stock includes a cheek piece, brass patchbox, and a crescent buttplate. Brass furniture extends to the trigger guard, nose cap, and wedge escutcheons, and the rifle retains its wood ramrod with a brass tip. Quick-detach sling swivel studs are installed on the butt and underrib for convenient carry.
Made in the United States, this is a modern reproduction of the classic Hawken pattern in .50 caliber with a 14.25-inch length of pull and single-shot capacity.
