Built on the Mauser platform with controlled-round-feed, this M/96 uses an external claw extractor and a straight bolt handle. The bolt, extractor, and shroud are polished in the white, while the receiver and barrel wear a blued finish. It feeds from a fixed 5+1 internal magazine and is designed for charger loading.
The receiver crest reads 'CARL GUSTAFS STADS GEVÄRSFAKTORI 1918' with the Swedish crown, and Swedish crown inspection marks are present. The barrel bears the Century Arms St. Albans, VT import marking: 'M96 SWEDEN 6.5x55 CAL ST. ALB VT'.
The hardwood, full-length stock has grasping grooves, a brass stock disk for armorer data, and a metal buttplate, paired with a short top handguard. Sighting is via iron sights: a tangent/ladder rear and a height-coded, replaceable front blade marked '+2' over '0'. A Mauser flag safety is fitted to the rear of the bolt.
Major components are numbers-matching, identified by the last three digits '808', and the rifle retains the correct bayonet lug compatible with the Swedish M/96 pattern bayonet. The included EJ AB bayonet complements the long-rifle configuration.
