The XT 22 Magnum uses a delayed-blowback operating system engineered for .22 WMR. It is a single-action, semi-automatic design on a 1911 platform and is full-size with a 5 inch barrel and 14+1 capacity. The slide does not lock open on the last round by design.
The barrel assembly is a fixed, two-piece bull barrel set inside a steel shroud with a bushingless setup. It has 6-groove rifling with a 1:16 RH twist. The slide is open-top with a rear sight dovetail.
Sighting equipment includes a fiber-optic front post dovetailed into the barrel and a low-profile rear notch set in the slide. Controls and protections include a grip safety, left-side thumb safety, disconnector, and inertia firing pin. The trigger is a skeletonized three-hole style, and the hammer is a skeletonized combat type.
The pistol wears a Parkerized finish on its steel frame and slide, with black checkered synthetic grips featuring RIA medallions. Markings include APINTL-PAHRUMP NV and ACP PHILIPPINES, and this example bears the early 'XTM-22' slide marking.
Factory guidance for the XT 22 Magnum recommends nickel-plated .22 WMR ammunition and a 500-round break-in period. Included is one 14-round steel magazine marked '.22 Mag' with a polymer basepad.
