This Thunder 40 Pro uses a proven DA/SA, recoil-operated, locked-breech system with Browning-Petter locking. It features an exposed spurred hammer and a grooved trigger, providing a traditional double-action first pull with a crisp single-action follow-up.
The controls are designed for flexibility. It has fully ambidextrous safety/decocker and slide stop levers, plus a reversible magazine release. Safety features include a firing pin block, a loaded chamber indicator, and an integral locking system (ILS).
Sight configuration is practical and adaptable. The pistol is equipped with 3-dot sights, with both the single-dot front and two-dot rear set into dovetails. The sights are interchangeable using SIG-type replacements. A loaded chamber indicator is integrated at the slide, and an accessory rail cut to MIL-STD-1913 is integral to the frame.
