The rifle retains its classic wood furniture, a plain crowned, unthreaded muzzle, and includes a 30-round 5.56 AK magazine and a green web sling. Built at Cugir in Romania and imported by Century Arms International (St. Albans, VT), this SAR 3 is chambered in 5.56mm NATO and uses the AKM pattern. The receiver is the correct stamped type with a ribbed top cover and magazine-well dimples, and it wears a durable matte black finish. Factory markings read "MADE BY S.N. ROMARM S.A.
CUGIR IN ROMANIA" with the CAI import stamp.
The long-stroke gas piston system with rotating bolt provides the familiar AK operating pattern. A 90-degree gas block is fitted, and the cleaning rod is present. Capacity is 30+1 with the included 5.56 AK magazine.
The 16.25-inch barrel has a plain crowned, unthreaded muzzle. Sights are classic AK: an open-ear post front and a tangent leaf rear graduated to 1,000 meters, offering a proven sighting setup for this platform.
Furniture is traditional and sturdy: a fixed wood stock with sling swivel and wooden handguards, complemented by a black polymer pistol grip with checkering. Length of pull is 12.5 inches for a compact, controllable shoulder fit.
Controls are standard AKM, including a paddle-style magazine release and a manual safety. A factory-installed left-side optics/accessory rail is present for compatible side-mounts. The rifle also features a year-coded serial with a matching fragment on the rear trunnion.
