The 10ML-II is engineered for use with specific smokeless-powder loads per the Savage factory manual. It uses a bolt-carried 209 primer ignition system and a replaceable vent-liner breechplug, combining reliable ignition with straightforward maintenance. This is a single-shot inline design with a 1:24 twist rate.
The 24-inch blued barrel features a recessed crown. Adjustable fiber-optic iron sights include a ramped front with a red/orange insert and a Williams rear ramp with a green insert, providing a bright, precise sight picture.
The synthetic stock wears a Realtree camo finish and includes molded checkering for grip, a rubber buttpad for recoil mitigation, and sling swivel studs for carry options. Controls include a three-position tang safety and the user-adjustable Savage AccuTrigger.
A Tasco World Class 3-9x40 scope is installed on two-piece bases and rings, with the objective bell marked "WORLD CLASS" and a duplex reticle for clean hold points. The receiver is drilled and tapped and accepts Savage short-action 10/11/12/16 bases.
