The ZPAPM70 uses a semi-automatic, long-stroke gas piston system and a stamped 1.5 mm receiver with a bulged RPK-style front trunnion for added strength. The safety selector includes a bolt-hold-open notch for range convenience.
Its 16.3 in cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel is threaded M14x1 LH. The chrome lining and hammer-forged construction support durability and ease of maintenance.
Furniture includes an aftermarket Archangel adjustable polymer buttstock marked Made in USA, a ribbed polymer pistol grip, and classic two-piece wooden handguards with elongated cooling slots. Sights are AK pattern, with an adjustable front post protected by ears and a rear tangent leaf.
