    What's Included

    • Savage Arms Model 99R rifle chambered in .300 Savage
    • Installed two-piece scope base blocks

The Model 99R configuration pairs a 22 in round barrel with a hammerless lever action and a 5-round rotary magazine, offering the distinctive round-count window and brass rotor that define this series. Chambered in .300 Savage, it reflects the cartridge pairing that made the 99 line a popular hunting rifle of its era.

Manufactured in 1957, this rifle bears the Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts barrel address and is receiver-top marked "SAVAGE MODEL 99." Proof and inspection markings include the oval "SP" proof and a "7" stamp, adding clear period identifiers to the receiver and barrel.

The walnut pistol-grip buttstock and rounded semi-beavertail fore-end feature cut checkering for secure handling, with sling swivel studs installed. Length of pull measures 13.25 in, providing a classic fit consistent with mid-century production.
