The FN America 502 Tactical stands out as a modern, full-size .22 LR with a 4.6 inch threaded barrel, an optics-ready slide, and true ambidextrous controls. Introduced in 2021 as the first slide-mounted optics-ready .22 LR pistol at launch, this example features suppressor-height iron sights and comes with both 15-round and 10-round magazines. Clear markings include FN Columbia, SC USA and Umarex Made in Germany with CIP proofs, and the serial range is noted as above the early 2022 recall cutoff.

This single-action, hammer-fired rimfire uses a blowback system and a steel 4.6 inch barrel with a recessed crown. It is threaded 1/2x28 TPI and fitted with a knurled thread protector, making it ready for commonly used .22 LR muzzle devices.
The optics-ready slide features a micro red-dot interface with a cover plate when no optic is installed, plus forward and rear serrations for easy manipulation. Suppressor-height, dovetailed front and rear iron sights provide a tall sight picture.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, including the manual safety, slide stop, and magazine release. The frame is polymer, the slide is anodized aluminum, and the barrel is steel. A three-slot Picatinny accessory rail is molded into the dustcover.
Markings include FN Columbia, SC USA and Umarex Made in Germany, with CIP proofs present. This model was introduced in 2021 as the first slide-mounted optics-ready .22 LR pistol at launch and is noted as being in a serial range above the early 2022 recall cutoff (LR010300 and below). Capacity is up to 15+1, and this example includes both a 15-round and a 10-round magazine.
