The EMP short-action 1911 architecture reduces the front-to-back dimension by approximately 1/8 inch and incorporates 15 re-engineered internal parts optimized for 9mm/.40 S&W. This model is the Micro-size variant chambered in .40 S&W with an 8+1 capacity and an approximate weight of 30 oz.
The 3-inch fully supported, ramped bull barrel is paired with a forged stainless slide featuring rear cocking serrations and a lowered/flared ejection port. The forged aluminum-alloy frame wears a black hardcoat anodized finish, creating a durable two-tone presentation.
Sighting is handled by Trijicon 3-dot tritium night sights marked "H3 11" for low-light visibility. Control features include a skeletonized, three-hole trigger; a skeletonized commander-style hammer; a single-side thumb safety; and a beavertail grip safety with memory bump.
