Assembled in the United States, this GP1975 follows the AKM pattern and is built on a D.C. Industries stamped and dimpled receiver with riveted construction. It uses the proven long-stroke gas piston system with a 90° gas block and a vented gas tube, paired with a 16.25-inch barrel. The rifle accepts standard double-stack AK-pattern magazines and is marked on the barrel with the import stamp "C.A.I. GEORGIA, VT."
