The barrel is chrome-moly steel with 5R rifling and a 1:10 RH twist, cold hammer-forged for consistency. It is threaded 5/8x24 and fitted from the factory with a multi-port muzzle brake. The pre-fit barrel system with barrel-nut architecture supports easier re-barreling when needed.
The action uses a three-lug bolt with approximately a 70-degree lift, dual cocking cams, and a large bolt knob for confident manipulation. The Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger allows user-adjustable pull weight, and the adjustment wrench is stored in the bolt shroud. A manual safety selector provides FIRE/SAFE positions.
The hard-coat anodized aluminum receiver and chassis are finished in black and matched to a long, free-float aluminum handguard with elongated M-LOK slots and a Ruger-marked clamp block. The folding stock offers adjustable cheek height and adjustable length of pull, with an underside 1913 rail for accessory mounting. An AR-pattern pistol grip with the Ruger logo rounds out the ergonomics.
The receiver carries an integral full-length 20-MOA Picatinny rail for mounting optics. Magazine compatibility includes AICS and SR-25/M110/DPMS/Magpul-pattern designs, offering flexibility for .308 Win feeding. The receiver is marked 'RUGER PRECISION, NEWPORT NH, USA' and the barrel is marked '.308 WIN.' Country of origin is the USA, and the rifle is identified by Ruger part number 18028.
