Built in 1975, this Lawman Mk III uses Colt's Mk III lockwork with a transfer bar and a clockwise-rotating cylinder. The platform is the medium-frame Colt Mk III architecture, designed for a six-shot .357 Magnum chambering.
The heavy 2-inch barrel stands out with a full underlug and ejector-rod shroud for added protection and mass. An anti-glare rib runs along the barrel, and the sights are fixed: an integral ramped front and an integral rear notch in the topstrap.
Construction is all carbon steel with a polished blued finish on the frame, receiver, and cylinder. Controls include a smooth-face trigger and an exposed hammer with a checkered spur. The revolver wears checkered walnut service stocks with Colt medallions on a round-butt frame.
This double-action/single-action revolver holds six rounds of .357 Magnum and was manufactured in the United States during the 1970s era of Colt production.
