Designed, tested, and manufactured in the United States, the CC9 marks a milestone for HK as its first U.S.-built firearm. The barrel carries the HK P-shield proof mark, and the pistol is marked HKI Columbus, GA and Made in USA, underscoring its domestic origin and proofing.
The 3.32 in cold-hammer-forged steel barrel and the slide both use a matte black DLC finish for wear resistance. Front and rear slide serrations, front relief cuts, and a striker-status indicator support quick handling and status checks. The slide comes optics-ready with an RMSc footprint and a cover plate installed from the factory.
Controls are truly ambidextrous, with mirrored slide stops and a push-button magazine release accessible from either side. The polymer frame features interchangeable backstraps and HK texturing panels for a secure, customizable grip. A Picatinny-style accessory rail on the dustcover adds practical mounting flexibility.
The striker-fired, short-recoil, locked-breech action is paired with layered safeties: an integral trigger safety lever, firing-pin/drop safety, out-of-battery safety, and a safe takedown procedure. HK also notes a +P-rated internal chassis system for added robustness.
Despite its micro size, the CC9 maintains easy carry dimensions with an approximate overall length of 6.03 in, width under 1.0 in, and an unloaded weight around 18.4 oz. Sights are straightforward and durable: a tritium green-dot front post with a black serrated rear notch for a clean, fast sight picture.
