What’s Included
- Remington Model 700 BDL (Custom Deluxe) bolt-action rifle chambered in 6mm Rem.
- Pachmayr White Line ventilated recoil pad with spacer stack (installed).
The BDL-grade walnut stock showcases a Monte Carlo comb, raised cheekpiece, and fleur-de-lis checkering, capped by a black fore-end tip with a white-line spacer. Sling-swivel studs are installed, and the overall presentation is consistent with the Custom Deluxe trim of the period.
Chambered in 6mm Remington, the renamed successor to .244 Remington, this example falls within the early un-prefixed Model 700 serial range (approximately 1962–1968). It uses a two-position safety and a hinged floorplate with an inside-trigger-guard release for unloading.
The 22-inch sporter-contour barrel and polished blued steel receiver are factory drilled and tapped for scope bases. The original barrel-mounted open sights have been removed; their screw holes remain cleanly plugged or open, as noted. The bolt features a swept handle with a checkered knob for positive manipulation.
Thoughtful customization includes a Pachmayr White Line ventilated recoil pad with a spacer stack, yielding a 13.5-inch length of pull. This setup complements the rifle’s full-size dimensions and classic handling characteristics. (L)
