This Terni-manufactured Moschetto Mod. 91 per Truppe Speciali (TS) is a compact Italian Carcano-pattern carbine in 6.5 Carcano with an 18.5 in. barrel. It carries matching serial markings on the receiver and stock and retains clear arsenal and inspection stamps, making it a well-documented example of the TS configuration.
Built at Terni Arsenal in Italy, this TS-pattern carbine features the characteristic straight bolt handle and a fixed protruding Carcano magazine housing. It uses the clip-loaded internal en-bloc system and is configured for a 5+1 capacity.
Markings include the TERNI arsenal stamp, a crowned/oval crest, a boxed PG inspector mark, a small 12 and star, and a MADE IN ITALY import stamp. The left butt shows an oval stock cartouche, adding to its identifiable provenance for collectors of Italian service arms.
The rifle is outfitted with iron sights: a fixed front post paired with an adjustable tangent/ladder rear sight graduated to at least 1800 m. The hardwood, oil-finished stock with handguard complements the steel receiver, and an under-barrel cleaning rod with a slotted head is present.
Handling dimensions include a 12.75 in. length of pull. Bottom sling swivels are fitted as per TS pattern, supporting field carry consistent with its intended special-troops role.
