The Mil-Spec configuration keeps the core features true to form: a GI-style recoil system with a short guide rod and plug, fixed GI-style sights, and rear-only vertical cocking serrations. The ejection port is lowered and flared for consistent ejection, and the Government-length 5-inch barrel provides the classic 1911 sight radius and balance.
The stainless construction uses forged slide and frame components with a matte/brushed finish for durability. The frame is set up with a smooth front strap and an arched mainspring housing without a lanyard loop, paired with a single-side manual thumb safety and a GI-profile grip safety. An inertial firing pin is part of the safety suite.
Controls and fire-control parts follow the traditional pattern: a short, solid trigger and a spur hammer. The sights are plain black, with a fixed square-notch rear and a plain black front blade. Capacity is 7+1 with the included single-stack magazine.
Grips are double-diamond checkered wood with Springfield Armory medallions, complementing the stainless frame and slide. The NM-prefix serial number format is noted for this example. Country of origin is the USA.
