- Smith & Wesson Model 19-3 revolver
The Model 19-3 is a K-frame Smith & Wesson in Combat Magnum configuration, chambered in .357 Magnum and also accepting .38 Special. This example uses a six-shot fluted cylinder with a knurled ejector rod and a shrouded ejector-rod housing for protected operation.
Its 6-inch barrel has a serrated rib, and the sighting system combines a plain ramped front sight with an adjustable micrometer-click rear sight for precise elevation and windage adjustments. The setup is clean and period-correct for the 19-3.
Construction is carbon steel with a polished blued finish on the frame and receiver, paired with a blued cylinder. The hammer and trigger show color case-hardening, and the factory checkered wooden stocks carry inset S&W medallions.
Factory markings include the barrel left side stamped "SMITH & WESSON" and the right side "S.&W. .357 MAGNUM." The S&W crest appears on the left sideplate, and the frame is marked "MADE IN U.S.A. MARCAS REGISTRADAS SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MASS." U.S. manufacture and 1970s provenance add clear context for collectors.
