Proofed and marked in West Germany, this Modell 1422 carries the Ulm antler and Eagle/N nitro proofs along with the two-letter date code "IF," placing manufacture in 1984–85. The blued steel barreled action is paired with a round bolt knob and a right-rear bolt shroud safety with a cocking indicator.
The 24-inch tapered sporter barrel is crowned and unthreaded. An adjustable open rear sight remains in place, while the front sight has been removed; two empty screw holes are present at the muzzle where the front sight base once mounted.
The receiver includes integral 11 mm dovetail grooves for mounting to the action, and matching 11 mm scope rings are installed. The rifle uses a detachable box magazine design with a sliding magazine catch positioned forward of the triggerguard.
The gloss-finished wood stock features cut checkering on the fore-end and pistol grip, a pistol-grip cap with an Anschütz medallion and white-line spacer, and factory sling swivel studs. Length of pull measures 13.75 inches.
