What’s Included
- F.lli Pietta 1851 Navy Brass Frame .44 cap-and-ball revolver
Built with a brass frame, trigger guard, and backstrap, this reproduction follows the classic open-top layout with a Colt-style wedge-retained barrel assembly. The barrel is marked "BLACK POWDER ONLY .44 CAL." and "MADE IN ITALY," aligning with its cap-and-ball percussion design and Italian manufacture.
The 7 7/8 in octagonal blued steel barrel and blued steel six-shot cylinder present the traditional profile, while the two-piece smooth wooden grips provide a period-correct feel. Fixed iron sights consist of a bead front and a hammer-notch rear, true to the original pattern.
Markings include Italian proof stamps near the wedge and the FAP diamond cartouche identifying F.lli Pietta. The serial number is located on the brass buttstrap. The frame and receiver wear a brass finish paired with blued barrel and cylinder surfaces for a classic two-tone appearance.
This single-action-only revolver maintains the plain (unengraved) cylinder style common to many replicas of the 1851 Navy pattern in .44 caliber. Capacity is six rounds of cap-and-ball .44, consistent with its percussion configuration.
