Its 3.39-inch cold hammer-forged steel barrel uses polygonal rifling and a 1:9.8 RH twist for durability and consistent performance. The slide wears HK's Hostile Environment finish and comes optics-ready with a cover plate installed, plus front and rear charging supports and serrations for confident manipulation.
Ergonomics are a hallmark of the VP series. This pistol includes interchangeable backstraps and side panels with VP-series texturing and finger grooves, allowing the shooter to fine-tune the grip. Controls are ambidextrous, including the paddle-style magazine release, and a reduced-length MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail is molded into the polymer frame.
Practical sighting features include iron sights with a high-visibility front dot and a plain black rear. The extractor doubles as a loaded chamber indicator, and a rear striker status indicator provides clear visual confirmation.
