This 580-Series Mini-14 Ranch Rifle features the stainless receiver and 18.5-inch stainless barrel favored for durability and consistent performance. The receiver is marked "RUGER RANCH RIFLE CAL. .223." and uses the Ruger Garand-derived short-stroke fixed-piston system with a rotating bolt. It incorporates the later 4-screw gas block and accepts detachable box magazines.
The rifle is set up in a Clyde Armory SCAR-CQB stock/chassis that adds an AR-type 6-position collapsible buttstock for adjustable length of pull. A black overmolded finger-groove pistol grip provides a secure hold, and the polymer chassis construction keeps the package rugged and practical.
Up top, an extended Picatinny rail runs over the handguard, and the forend includes Picatinny rail sections at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock for mounting accessories. A ladder-style cover is installed on the top rail, and a detachable bipod is mounted on the bottom rail for supported shooting.
Factory-style iron sights remain in place, with a wing-protected front post and a receiver-mounted aperture rear. The barrel is threaded and fitted with an A2-pattern flash suppressor. As a Ranch Rifle, the receiver includes integral scope-ring bases for direct ring mounting if desired.
Chambered in .223 Remington with a 30+1 capacity, this setup comes with five 30-round magazines and one 5-round magazine, including one Ruger factory magazine, supporting a wide range of range and field uses.
