What’s Included
- Browning SA-22 Grade I .22 LR semi-automatic rifle (Made in Belgium, 1959)
Belgian FN production for Browning with Grade I trim, this rifle carries factory light scroll engraving on the receiver and trigger guard. It retains the early Browning wheel-style elevation rear sight with numbered disc paired with a dovetailed blade front sight. The receiver shows a polished blue finish, with overall blued steel construction and crisp, legible Browning-era markings.
The SA-22 takedown system uses an adjustment ring at the barrel-to-receiver interface for a precise fit. It employs bottom ejection and an under-receiver charging handle. The tubular magazine is housed in the buttstock and loads through a heel port secured by a rotating buttplate latch. Capacity is 10 rounds of .22 Long Rifle.
Stock and forend are walnut with cut checkering, a straight comb, and a right-side cheek dish. The butt is capped with a serrated steel buttplate. Length of pull measures 13.75 inches. The handguard is matching walnut, completing the classic SA-22 profile.
The barrel measures approximately 19.25 inches. Markings include: "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY ST LOUIS Mo & MONTREAL P.Q.," "MADE IN BELGIUM," "BROWNING PATENTS," and "22 LONG RIFLE." This example reflects late-1950s FN manufacture with features collectors look for in an original Belgian SA-22.
