What’s Included
- Winchester Model 62A pump-action takedown rifle
Made in the United States in 1949, this Model 62A represents the postwar iteration of Winchester’s well-regarded .22 pump rifle. It features carbon steel construction with a blued finish and Winchester WP oval proof marks on both the barrel and receiver.
The rifle retains its takedown design with a two-piece joint and screw at the receiver for easy separation. It uses an under-barrel tubular magazine with a removable inner tube and an exposed hammer, all consistent with the model’s established configuration.
The catalog-standard 23-inch round blued barrel is paired with open sights: a blade front in a dovetail and a drift-adjustable rear leaf with a stepped elevator. The receiver and barrel are both blued carbon steel.
Stock furniture is walnut, including a straight-grip buttstock fitted with a Winchester-logo hard-rubber buttplate. The ribbed, grooved walnut slide handle provides a positive grasp for cycling the action.
