The Model 25N is a bolt-action .22 LR built with a blued carbon steel receiver and barrel and a hardwood stock finished in walnut. The stock includes a pistol-grip profile, pressed checkering, sling swivel studs, and a Marlin-logo buttplate. Length of pull is 13.5 in.
The 22 in barrel uses Marlin's Micro-Groove rifling and is rollmarked 'MODEL 25N MICRO-GROOVE BARREL CAL. 22 L.R. ONLY'. Sighting is via a ramped front post and an adjustable open rear sight on a stepped elevator. The bolt is left in the white.
Feeding is through a detachable 7-round magazine for a 7+1 capacity. The included steel magazine is marked 'LONG RIFLE ONLY'.
