Product Description

Remington Model 700 ADL 7mm Rem. Mag., 24 in. Sporter, 1963, Blued, Walnut Monte Carlo, Factory Sights, Tasco 3-9x40

This early ADL-grade Remington Model 700 is a 1963-production sporter chambered in 7mm Remington Magnum with a 24-inch barrel. It retains its factory open sights and features classic ADL trim, including a high-gloss walnut Monte Carlo stock with skip-line checkering. It comes scoped with a Tasco 3–9x40 duplex and mounted in Weaver USA rings on two-piece bases, offering a ready-to-shoot package in a desirable early production configuration.

    Condition

Overall Condition: Good condition, showing some signs of prior use and handling.

Bore Overall Condition: Good - Clean, well-maintained, minor wear marks.

Bore Rifling: Excellent Rifling - Sharp lands and grooves.

Specific Condition Notes: The blued metal shows areas of finish loss with scattered rust. The walnut stock has scratches and wear to its high-gloss finish. The bore is clean and shiny.

    What’s Included

    • Camo soft case
    • Tasco 3–9x40 riflescope (duplex reticle)
    • Weaver USA rings on two-piece scope bases (installed)
    • Leather sling on detachable swivels

Built in 1963 and stamped with an OM inspector/date code on the barrel shank, this Model 700 represents an early example of the ADL sporter in 7mm Remington Magnum. The receiver is drilled and tapped and mounted with two-piece bases and Weaver USA rings, while the factory open sights remain in place for versatile setup options.

The stock is classic ADL: high-gloss walnut with a Monte Carlo comb and right-hand cheekpiece, skip-line checkering, black fore-end tip, and white-line spacers. A ventilated recoil pad and sling swivel studs round out the period-correct configuration. Length of pull is 13.5 inches.

The 24-inch sporter-profile barrel pairs with a dual-lug rotating bolt that uses a recessed bolt face and plunger ejector. Feeding is from an internal box magazine with a 3+1 capacity. Markings include "Remington MODEL 700" on the receiver and the caliber on the barrel.

Sighting equipment includes a ramped front sight with brass bead and an adjustable rear ramp sight. The included Tasco 3–9x40 scope with a duplex reticle adds practical flexibility for field or range use, complementing the rifle’s retained iron sights.
