This Taurus Model 85 Stainless is a compact, five-shot .38 Special revolver built on a stainless steel frame with a 2-inch barrel. It features double-action/single-action operation, fixed sights, and factory-import markings from Taurus International Mfg., Miami, Florida. Aftermarket Pachmayr Presentation/Compac rubber grips are installed, and the original factory wood grip is included. Condition is very good overall, with an excellent, mirror-bright bore.

Constructed entirely of stainless steel for the frame, barrel, cylinder, and receiver, this Model 85 presents a uniform stainless finish with practical features for carry-size revolvers. The 2-inch barrel has a serrated top rib and a short underlug, while the fluted five-shot cylinder uses a knurled ejector-rod tip for positive extraction.
The action is double-action/single-action with an exposed, checkered hammer spur for controlled cocking. A transfer-bar safety is standard. Sighting is straightforward and durable, with a fixed top-strap groove at the rear and an integral serrated ramp up front.
Factory markings include the TAURUS crest and TAURUS INT. MFG., MIAMI, FLA., along with MADE IN BRAZIL. The model "85" is marked on the yoke cut, and this example was imported by Taurus International Mfg., Miami, Florida.
Aftermarket Pachmayr Presentation/Compac rubber grips are installed for secure handling, and the original one-piece checkered wood grip with gold Taurus medallion is included. The revolver comes with its factory box and owner's manual.
