The compact XD-M Elite configuration pairs .45 ACP chambering with a 13+1 capacity using the extended magazine and a carry-friendly profile with the 9-round compact magazine. The included grip sleeve on the extended magazine blends the magazine base to the frame for a continuous hold.
The match-grade, hammer-forged 3.8 in barrel uses a 1:16 twist for .45 ACP and works with a captive recoil system. A forged steel slide with a Melonite finish provides durability, and front and rear serrations aid slide manipulation.
Controls include ambidextrous magazine release and ambidextrous slide stop levers. The striker-fired system features a flat-faced trigger, with integrated trigger safety and a grip safety. The black polymer frame has textured XD-M pattern grip panels with molded XDM logos.
Sighting is straightforward with a red fiber-optic front and Tactical Rack U-Dot rear. A 3-slot Picatinny-style accessory rail on the dust cover supports compatible lights or lasers.
