The Boombox is a recent-release, large-frame AR-10 pattern rifle from Q, engineered around the 8.6 Blackout cartridge. It uses a 12-inch barrel with a threaded muzzle, a ported muzzle device, and a tapered-shoulder style interface. The receiver is marked DOVER NH, with "BOOMBOX" on the upper and the Q logo on the magwell.
The rifle operates via a semi-automatic direct impingement system with right-side ejection. Controls include a right-side magazine release and an ambidextrous safety selector. Q deletes both the forward assist and dust cover on this model.
Furniture and mounting features include a PDW-style, two-rod, non-folding telescoping stock with a compact cheek module and polymer buttpad, plus a Magpul pistol grip. The free-float aluminum handguard offers M-LOK at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock with a continuous 1913 Picatinny top rail, and comes with a 1913 M-LOK rail section installed at 6 o'clock.
Included optics are a Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6x24 OPMOD Limited Edition LPVO set in a Reptilia one-piece mount.
