Built on HK’s proven USP platform, this full-size USP40 pairs a 4.25 in barrel with a 7.64 in overall length for balanced handling and sight alignment. The slide and barrel wear HK’s HE nitro-carburized black finish, known for durability and corrosion resistance.
The barrel is steel, cold hammer-forged with a polygonal bore, and matched to HK’s patented USP recoil-reduction system to help manage .40 S&W duty loads. The spurred hammer, DA/SA action, and frame-mounted left-side manual safety support confident operation.
Controls are classic USP: an ambidextrous paddle-style magazine release and rear slide serrations for a secure grasp. The dustcover retains HK’s proprietary accessory grooves. The polymer frame carries molded textured grip panels with the 'USP' cartouche and is marked 'HK Sidearms GmbH - Made in Germany'.
Upgraded Trijicon tritium night sights are installed, with the front sight marked 'H3 17'. The pistol bears German eagle/N nitro proof and Ulm stag antler proof, the DE country code, the 'BE' two-letter date code (2014), and the HKI - Columbus GA import mark.
