The TLE/RL II configuration combines a Government-length 5-inch slide and barrel with an integral 1913/Picatinny accessory rail for mounting a light. The slide includes front and rear cocking serrations and a lowered, flared ejection port to support reliable manipulation and ejection.
The frame is steel with a matte black finish and practical carry features: a checkered front strap, a flat, checkered mainspring housing, a beveled magazine well, and a beavertail grip safety with a raised memory pad. The frame is rollmarked Yonkers, NY, U.S.A., and the pistol is made in the United States.
Controls and internals follow proven 1911 practices enhanced for duty use. It is single-action with a skeletonized three-hole trigger and a skeletonized commander-style hammer. Safety features include a manual thumb safety, a grip safety, and the Series II Swartz-type firing-pin block.
The barrel is bushing-fitted and paired with a full-length guide rod. Sighting is straightforward and durable with fixed 3-dot dovetailed sights: a single-dot front and a two-dot rear.
