This 1990 Ruger Mini-14 185-Series is the standard (non-Ranch) configuration with a receiver-mounted aperture rear sight and no integral scope ring cuts. It features an 18.5-inch threaded pencil barrel, right-side charging and ejection, and a blued steel receiver set in a satin-finished hardwood stock. It is in excellent condition with a clean, mirror-bright bore, and includes a 25-round steel magazine.

The 185-Series Mini-14 is the standard configuration with a robust, receiver-mounted peep sight and no integral scope ring cuts. It uses the detachable Mini-14-pattern magazine system and has right-side charging and ejection. The rear sight includes a protected aperture with a windage knob, paired with a winged blade front sight for a durable iron-sight setup.
The 18.5-inch barrel is the thin pencil profile and is threaded at the muzzle; no device is installed. This configuration keeps weight forward of the receiver light while providing muzzle thread capability when desired.
Its gas-operated, rotating-bolt, fixed-piston action is housed in a steel receiver with a blued/black finish, matching the overall blued finish of the rifle. This example was manufactured in 1990 in the USA.
The hardwood stock has a satin finish and a semi-pistol-grip shape, with sling swivels installed and no checkering. A ventilated polymer top handguard completes the factory furniture set. Length of pull measures 12.5 inches.
Capacity is 25+1 with the included steel magazine. An Eagle receiver side-mount with 1-inch rings is included (not installed) for those who want to add an optic using the supplied mount.
