The FV-SR configuration delivers a short, maneuverable .22 LR platform with a 16.5 in heavy, fluted barrel. The carbon-steel barrel is threaded 1/2x28 and capped with a thread protector, finished in matte black, and configured without iron sights.
The bolt action is paired with a user-adjustable AccuTrigger and a two-position safety with a red fire dot. A right-hand bolt with an enlarged cylindrical knob provides positive control. Capacity is 10+1 via a detachable steel box magazine.
The black synthetic stock includes molded checkering for grip and sling swivel studs for carry options. Length of pull is 13.25 in, with an overall length of approximately 35 in and an approximate weight of 5.5 lb.
Optics are ready to use out of the box with a one-piece scope rail and rings installed, topped with a Bushnell Banner 3-9x40 scope using a duplex reticle for a clear, versatile sight picture across the 3-9x magnification range.
Manufacturing and markings reflect Canadian production: “MFG BY SAVAGE ARMS (CANADA) INC., LAKEFIELD, ONT. CANADA, IMPORTED BY SAVAGE ARMS INC., WESTFIELD, MA U.S.A. 01085.” The receiver and barrel are carbon steel with a uniform matte black finish.
