The MAC 2 Tactical Wood is patterned on the Benelli M2 concept and uses an inertia-driven action. The barrel is 18.5 inches long and chambered for 3 inch shells, clearly roll-marked for 12 GA 2-3/4 inch or 3 inch loads. A ported tactical choke/flash hider is installed, and the choke-threaded barrel accepts Benelli/Mobil-pattern tubes.
Controls and handling are enhanced by an oversized, knurled charging handle. The gun is configured with an extended magazine tube finished with a carbon-fiber sleeve and knurled cap, secured by a Strike Industries barrel-to-magazine clamp. This setup provides a 6+1 capacity; factory literature often lists 5+1.
Sighting equipment includes an adjustable ghost-ring rear and a hooded front post mounted ahead of the choke. A Picatinny rail is installed on the receiver for mounting compatible optics or accessories as desired by the end user. The three original chokes — Cylinder, Modified, and Full — are included.
The receiver is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and finished in a matte light earth-tone color that matches the barrel and receiver set. Walnut furniture features bordered checkering, a rubber recoil pad, and a rear sling-swivel stud. Import/origin markings note Military Armament Corp, Knoxville, TN, and Turkey. Overall length is about 41.25 inches with an approximate weight of 6 lb 8 oz, and the length of pull measures 13.75 inches.
