The 25.5-inch barrel has a vent rib with longitudinal serrations and is threaded for the Rem Choke system. It is chambered for both 2 3/4 in and 3 in shells, with the barrel marked "20 GA. 2 3/4 or 3" and a preceding star symbol, and "Remington Arms Company, Ilion, NY."
The receiver is steel with a matte black finish and carries the "Remington 870" rollmark. The action uses twin action bars and a cross-bolt safety. A polymer trigger guard and a knurled magazine cap are also featured.
Furniture includes a hardwood buttstock and matching forend. The stock has pressed checkering, a Remington "R" grip medallion, and a Remington-branded recoil pad. Length of pull is 14.0 inches.
Choke versatility is a highlight: a Remington Rem Choke Full, Remington Rem Choke Modified, and a Carlson's extended rifled choke are included. The shotgun uses a tubular magazine with a stated capacity of 2+1. A 20 GA laser bore sighter kit is also included.
