Chambered in .35 Rem, this Model 336 combines a compact 20-inch barrel with Marlin's Micro-Groove rifling for dependable performance. The rifle retains its blued finish and uses a full-length tubular magazine with a 6+1 capacity, secured by two barrel bands.
Built in North Haven in 1977 (serial prefix "23"), this is a pre–cross-bolt-safety example. The side-eject, solid-top receiver is drilled and tapped, and it currently wears a receiver-mounted scope base with rings and an installed optic.
Factory open sights include a ramped front sight without a hood and a semi-buckhorn rear sight with an elevator. The mounted BSA 3-9x40 scope provides variable magnification with a 40mm objective, offering a clear sighting option out of the box.
The wood stock is a pistol-grip, uncheckered configuration with a buttplate and white-line spacer, Marlin bullseye inlay, and sling swivel studs. A leather sling with quick-detach swivels is already fitted. The rifle features a gold-tone trigger and a 13.5-inch length of pull.
